July 2 &16, August 6 & 20 Stillwater The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University Open House Botanic Garden at OSU 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 3425 W. Virginia Rd., corner of Virginia and Sangre Roads The Open Houses will be ongoing each 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month through October 15. The Botanic Garden at OSU Open House offers to the public a wonderful opportunity to come and visit the Garden in a relaxed atmosphere. Come and wander through the various gardens on your own or tour with the assistance of a Botanic Garden Ambassador. Not only is it a chance to spend time either on your own or with the family in the great outdoors - the Open Houses are free! There are a number of themed gardens which will appeal to all ages, from children to adults and to gardeners of all levels of experience. All will enjoy the variety of gardens, different plant species and the various wildlife that are attracted to the garden's colorful sights. The Garden is also home to many different garden plots that reflect ongoing research projects by OSU professors. October 1 Nacogdoches, Texas Fabulous Fall Festival Plant Sale Stephen F. Austin State University's Mast Arboretum 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stephen F. Austin State University's Mast Arboretum, at the SFA Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet St. The event features the annual fall plant sale fundraiser benefiting the SFA Mast Arboretum, Pineywoods Native Plant Center, Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden, Gayla Mize Garden, and educational programs hosted at the gardens. A wide variety of hard-to-find, "Texas tough" plants will be available, including new introductions, Texas natives, heirlooms, perennials and exclusive SFA introductions. Most plants are extensively trialed in the gardens before being offered to the public. This plant sale fundraiser benefits the SFA Gardens and its educational programs, which reach over 15,000 students ages 1 to 100 on a yearly basis.
